New Year’s Eve is one of the biggest nights of the year and as always, there are plenty of cracking events in Bristol to see in the new year in style, with every pub and club in the city throwing special events.

Although Bristol doesn’t quite have a firework display to rival the magnificent scenes enjoyed by Londoners every year, there are still some impressive shows taking place around the city which will ensure your year ends in a brilliant way.
The Avon Gorge Hotel
Every Bristolian know that Avon Gorge Hotel has one of the most incredible viewing spots in Bristol, and we’re sure their New Year’s Eve event will be simply magical. The Oxford, Oxford Street, Totterdown
The Oxford is once again hosting a huge party to bring in the new year. There will be a DJ set jam-packed with floor-fillers covering hip hop, funk and party classics, with a bumper fireworks display planned for midnight.
The Farm,St Werberghs
Some good live music will come along with your fireworks if you spend your night at The Farm. There will be indoor and outdoor stages which will be graced by the likes of Hi Life Hi-Fi, Overproof Tropical Sound and DJ John Stapleton. The event runs from 7pm until 2.30pm with fireworks being set off at midnight.
Any hill-top
It’s well-known that Bristol boasts some stunning viewpoints from which to watch firework displays from – so if you don’t fancy the crowds at one of the events listed above, you can get outdoors and make the climb to enjoy some pretty colours with a tad more peace. Some of the best viewpoints include Dundry Hill, Troopers Hill in St George, the Northern Slopes, Brandon Hill and, of course, the Downs.
